After a late breakfast at the clam shack, Laurel drove me around some more of Cape Cod, including a visit to the Parnassus bookstore, where I could have spent the whole day - what a treasure trove!
It was hard to say goodbye, but it had to be done. On my way off of Cape Cod, I went to the Sandwich Glass Museum, which was really interesting; there was a fascinating demonstration of glassblowing - it's much harder than it looks! I drove back to Boston via Rte 28 (couldn't possibly go back the way I came), to stay with Matt, Terry and Lorien for a few days in Mattapan. BBQ chicken dinner on the deck (and of course martinis), and I am marvelling at how Lorien has grown from a baby to a little person since Christmas when I was last here - she is not 2-1/2 years old yet and she knows all the letters of the alphabet!
Not sure how long I will be here - but there may not be posts every day - it depends what we're doing!
