
Spent most of the day wandering contentedly around
Oak Park, admiring the Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and having a tour of his own
home and studio on Chicago Avenue. I can't believe I lived in Chicago for over a year without getting to see this before! You can see the seeds of some of his later styles of architecture and design, and the movement from the Arts and Crafts style to the more geometric abstractions of natural themes, and the very clever use of space and light in what was a rather small house.
