Drove down from Boston yesterday - including a little excursion to Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, where I ate my sandwich lunch on the rather cool and breezy beach. Lots of interesting bridges into and out of the various islands and peninsulae that make up Rhode Island, including the Newport Bridge, which looks very steep on approach.
Missed my exit at the George Washington Bridge in New York, but took the next one to avoid going over to New Jersey, and found my way to Melinda's, then spent 20 minutes crawling around looking for parking; eventually ended up 4 blocks away (which is pretty good for NY).
We had a little stroll around the neighbourhood, and ended up for a drink at Pomodoro (can't find a website!), with Sue Bakken and Dave Kaufman, putting the health informatics world to rights ;-)
