A wonderful Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday - thanks to Svetlana's family! Since then, I've been getting my breath back and enjoying being in one place. We have been sampling the amazing variety of ethnic food available in this part of Chicago - Ethiopian, Greek and Italian among others, and also visited the Baha'i Temple, a very beautiful and serene building.

This being Chicago in December, it is of course snowing!

This evening we went to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier, thanks to Susan Nedza's generosity, to see the most amazing production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. A cast from South Asia, 7 different languages, some very athletic and balletic scenes, some rather sly moments, some very bawdy moments, a very physical production of which Shakespeare would have heartily approved, and which would go down very well at the Globe in London! Our cab driver on the way there was an Albanian who wondered if we might like to join his harem ... though he thought his wife might not actually like it if we agreed!
